Project Description:
This large university project was a new ten story research building where New England Lab supplied Lexington Series maple casework with epoxy tops and custom Pro Series fume hoods on nine floors. Many of the hoods were twelve feet wide with horizontal sliding sashes. A complete mock-up of a fume hood bench, as well as a full wet bench were built in our warehouse for the owners, researchers and other trades to inspect and make revisions to before the project began. This mock up was instrumental in easing coordination with other trades and allowed the researchers to position things such as lights and other ergonomic features that are not easy to imagine on paper. This is not a typical location for a mock-up lab, but we pride ourselves in accommodating the customer in any way possible.
