Face Velocities
Designed for 80-100 fpm face velocity. Tested to ASHRAE-110 Guidelines.
Sash Counterbalance System
Chain and sprocket sash delivers the smoothest and most reliable operation available and has an exceptionally long life span.
Full Viewing Sash
Provides a clear and unobstructed side to side view of fume hood interior, with a 34” high viewing area.
Lower Airfoil
The stainless steel lower airfoil ensures optimum airflow and delivers unequaled durability and style.
Chemical Resistant Liner
Standard fiberglass reinforced polyester (FRP) liner has excellent strength and chemical resistance; additional liner materials are also available to accomodate a variety of applications.
Access Panels
Interior gasketed access panels provide convenient access and prevent fume leakage outside the fume hood. Exterior side panels are also removable for ease of access to plumbing and electrical service fixtures.

Stylish ergonomic positioning of plumbing and electrical fixtures - angled to face the operator.
Electrical Services
Two UL / CSA approved duplex receptacles are provided for 120 volt service. UL / CSA approved fluorescent light fixture mounted outside the fume chamber provides increased safety, longer life and easy maintenance. This fume hood is UL 1805 Classified.
Duct Collar
Bell shaped type 316 stainless steel collar easily and directly interfaces with the building ventilation system.
Plumbing Services
Front post is pre-punched to accept four plumbing fixtures per side. Factory pre-plumbing of front-loaded remote fixtures is an available option.
Hood Types
Our fume hoods come in a variety of types designed for specific applications and can be made to match your specific size requirements in height and depth. These types include: bench, floor mounted, ADA, distillation, teaching and double sided fume hoods.


Optional Full Galvanized Top
Creates a load-bearing, rigid platform for secure connection to building ventilation systems.
Optional Self-Lowering Sash System
Sash latch temporarily secures the sash in the full open position for setup and tear down operations. When the latch is freed, the sash automatically returns to the operational position for energy conservation and safety.
Optional Automatic Sash Closing System
Electronic occupancy sensor system closes the sash automatically when not in use, or within a timed interval when operator moves away from the fume hood.

New England Lab's Harvard Series fume hoods can be designed and manufactured with painted or stainless steel and has been designed and constructed with materials that are laboratory grade and are highly recyclable.
Our low volume option can result in considerable energy savings by reducing the sash opening size.
An Automatic Sash Operating System can be incorporated that lowers and/or rises automatically which can enhance safety and dramatically increase the efficiency of Variable Air Volume (VAV) fume hood systems.

harvard series - bench mounted fume hood
Harvard Series bench mounted fume hoods allow work to be done at standing or sitting heights and sit conveniently on a 30" deep counter top. With a range of sash styles and liner materials, this fume hood can provide safety and protection for a wide variety of bench top applications.
harvard series - floor mounted fume hood
Harvard Series floor mounted fume hood (formerly called a walk-in) is freestanding and is available with many sash configurations. These fume hoods can allow for larger items to be wheeled in at floor level or can provide protection by containing large floor-mounted equipment.

Harvard Series distillation extra tall hood can be set on a low height table to maximize vertical space. This hood is especially helpful when you need the height of a floor mounted hood but also need the convenience of a traditional hood worksurface such as a distillation set up.

Harvard Series radioisotope fume hoods are designed to meet the stringent requirements of radioisotope applications, this hood is designed with a seamlessly welded and coved stainless steel liner with integral counter top. The countertop has been reinforced to support the weight of lead bricks.

Harvard Series perchloric acid fume hood is designed with a seamlessly welded and coved stainless steel liner with integral counter top. The fume hood has an internal wash-down system to prevent accumulation of dangerous oxidizers.
