The Alkermes lab space was planned, finished and appointed with a hybrid systems approach to meet their specialty requirements. The following Series were combined; Wakefield Series wood overlay casework, Cambridge Series tables and the Optima Series bench system. New England Lab provided the Optima 1500FL bench, a self-supporting system with no connections at the floor. Adjustable shelving and suspended cabinetry are removable and re-locatable. This highly adaptable system provided the flexibility Alkermes needed while a strong aesthetic was obtained by decorative wood end panels which matched the cabinet fronts. These panels were integrated into the fixed steel leg of the Optima and Cambridge Series. Removable rectangular collars conceal hoses and cords connecting to the MEP system above. Our experienced project management team kept this large scale project on time, on budget and exceeded the client requirements for a first-class facility build-out.
