JOB NAME: Genzyme | Biologics Support Center at 68 New York Ave

CONTRACTOR: Gilbane Building Company

This new 186,000 sq. ft., LEED Gold Registered facility serves as an integral support center for the adjacent Cell Culture laboratories, as well as other Genzyme manufacturing facilities. New England Lab was selected for our ability to provide a custom solution for their design and functionality needs. Custom Lexington Series wood island and individual research benches were designed with integral trash receptacles and under-counter raceways. RFV2 Series fume hoods were supplied to meet the high performance requirements while being able to operate as low as 50 fpm for energy savings. Open site lines were maintained with acrylic pegboards and vertical pipe chases incorporated custom white boards. Overall the laboratory space provides an open aesthetically pleasing support space.
