Material testing labs and storage, a moist cure room, and various labs will be house in the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s new Central Research and Materials Laboratory in Hopkinton, MA. For the government project New England Lab supplied overlay painted steel casework with epoxy resin work surfaces in multiple labs. Fixed painted steel cabinets along with Cambridge Series tables stand against a flex core system which holds electrical and plumbing fixtures. Stainless steel exhaust canopies are placed above tables with stainless work surfaces to remove any odors and fumes that may be develop from experiments. Stainless Steel solid shelving units were provided for the moist cure room which is constantly kept wet for the evaluation of concrete. Laboratories were also furnished with stainless steel back draft exhaust systems and efficient fume hoods.
