The State of Maine renovated 48,000 square feet within their Greenlaw building to create dedicated BSL-2 and BSL-3 labs for infectious disease testing. These labs will be used by the State Police and the State of Maine for necropsy, examining bodily fluids and tissues, and testing dangerous materials like Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances. New England Lab supplied the powder-coated steel tables and mobile cabinets, both equipped with epoxy resin worktops, to support safe handling of hazardous substances. High-performance fume hoods have been installed in the labs to ensure safe ventilation. Necropsy spaces feature easy-to-sterilize stainless steel casework and work surfaces with integral sinks. Throughout the building, mobile and fixed casework provide flexible options while maintaining a cohesive look across all lab spaces. The space is also equipped with overhead ceiling service panels, cylinder storage, wall shelving, and custom strut overhead carriers.
