JOB NAME: University of Connecticut | Engineering & Science Building

With the idea of an “open lab” concept that encourages collaboration between researchers, UCONN invested in a new Engineering and Science Building for the ever growing fields such as genomics, biomedical sciences, robotics and cyber-physical systems. To help the university reach their goal successfully, New England Lab provided cabinets with an engineered veneer designed to look like Teak with white or black epoxy resin work surfaces. Other labs at the facility include student work stations and adjustable height wood tables. Safeguard Series fume hoods are set on wood veneer solvent storage cabinets as well as vented acid cabinets. Laboratory personnel and student lockers are installed with glass fronts and electronic locks. Additional accessories on this project are gas cylinder cabinets, shelving, pegboards, plumbing fixtures, and butcher block work surfaces.
