As Vertex Pharmaceuticals continued to grow they needed to relocate their Massachusetts workforce to one central campus. They chose Fan Pier in Boston’s Innovation District, one of the largest mixed-use waterfront, LEED-certified communities in the country. For Vertex’s new global headquarters is two 18-story buildings totaling approximately 1,554,000 square feet. In Building A, New England Lab provided painted steel lab casework, stainless steel lab casework, and steel table systems. New England Lab also equipped the labs with overhead service carriers, custom bench fume hoods and large floor-mounted hoods. In Building B,custom multisash bench fume hoods and floor-mounted hoods were supplied.
