Fume Hood Customization
New England Lab is proud to be able to customize fume hood structures to fit any need. Our customers enjoy the benefits of custom design without long lead times or large price increases. Of course, we do anticipate many of your needs and offer a wide variety of standard options such as plumbing fixtures, and explosion proof electrical fixtures, but customization could include just about anything. Common requests are height and depth changes, unique sash configurations, pass through locations, or special duct configurations. Other custom items may be interior structures such as perforated shelving, containment troughs, grounding bars, or large sinks. New England Lab will customize fume hood base cabinets with controls such as variable transformers, electrical outlets of any type, and remote plumbing valves. Steam baths are also a popular request, and are built into the countertop with remote controls for steam and cooling water plumbed to the hood post or base cabinet. New England Lab has built many hoods to specifically accommodate equipment sizes and has even assembled them around robots and reactors that were already in place.
