The Observation2+ Series fume hood was specifically designed to meet the needs of students and teachers.

• 5° angled sash and sloped front
• Low profile airfoils with spill containment trough
• Durable chain and sprocket sash system
• Self-lowering sash that keeps the sash at 18” if raised above the set point
• Side and back viewing windows for enhanced instruction and observation
• Factory pre-plumbed and pre-wired narrow 3” posts
• Removable glass or FRP baffle sections
• Single or double-sided configurations
• Not suitable for highly corrosive environments. (For corrosive environments see our NovaGuard hood)

Face Velocities

• Designed for 60-100 fpm face velocity 
• Tested to ASHRAE-110 Guidelines
   

Sash Counterbalance System

• Chain and sprocket sash
• Durable for long lifespan
   

Self-lowering sash system

• Sash latch temporarily secures the sash in the full open position for setup and tear down
• When the latch is freed, the sash automatically returns to the operational position 
   

Superior Visibility

• Narrow post design and sash glass on all sides provides maximum viewing 
• Optional rear glass and glass baffle sections that easily remove for cleaning
   

Low Profile Hinged Airfoil

• Flush with the work surface
• Spill trough is designed to provide secondary containment in the event a spill
• Air foil is hinged for easy cleaning
   

Access Panels

• Interior gasketed access panels 
• Removable exterior side panels for ease of access to plumbing and electrical service fixtures
   

Duct Collar

• Rectangular type 316 stainless steel collar
• Exhaust transitions to round sold separately
   

Electrical Services

• Three UL/CSA approved receptacles and two USB charging ports are provided for 120 volt service.
• Built-in LED lighting and a corner post-mounted UL/CSA approved switch provided
• This fume hood is UL 1805 Classified
   

Plumbing Services

• Pre-punched posts accept a maximum of four front-loaded plumbing fixtures
• Fixtures are pre-plumbed with crosslinked polyethylene (PEX) to the top of the fume hood
• Natural gas to be plumbed in stainless steel

Our low flow fume hoods can result in considerable energy cost reduction and ensure operator safety.  Designed to operate from 60-100 feet per minute face velocities.  They have been tested as low as 50 feet per minute.

Our low volume option can result in considerable energy savings by reducing the sash opening size.

An Automatic Sash Operating System can be incorporated that lowers and/or rises automatically which can enhance safety and dramatically increase the efficiency of Variable Air Volume (VAV) fume hood systems.
