ARCHITECT: Watson Tate Savory / EYP
CONTRACTOR: Gilbane Building Company
As the University of South Carolina continues to grow their science, technology and engineering studies they have decided to repurpose part of their former law school building with research laboratories to facilitate expansion. Working with the architect and following the direction of the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, New England Lab provided rift cut White Oak fixed cabinets with grey epoxy resin work surfaces. Benchtop fume hoods in blue and white were utilized throughout the labs. Customized storage solutions included cabinets that allow easy access to different sized burrettes as well as individual storage of them horizontally. Cambridge Series adjustable height tables, an epoxy bath tub sink and brackets as well as emergency safety stations completed the space.
