ARCHITECT: JacobsWyper Architects
After the recent acquisition of Patheon, a global pharmaceutical company, Thermo Fisher Scientific wanted to upgrade some of the laboratories in their facility based out of Greenville, NC. New England Lab provided the latest line of fume hoods incorporating high visibility and high performance. Alcoves with glass windows or solid panels with shelving are built into the hood side walls to provide a larger interior. Fixed islands of inset painted steel casework have epoxy resin counter tops and recessed power outlets with custom stainless steel covers. A polypropylene fume hood, powder-coated service fixtures, red acrylic splashguards and lab seating completed the space.
