This LEED certified project provides state-of-the-art research and teaching laboratories and is the largest classroom and research building in URI history. The laboratory furniture consists of customized Optima table systems with multi-circuit wiring, plumbing services and metal cabinets with maple wood fronts. The teaching classrooms were furnished with fixed custom maple wood benches. Bio-safety cabinets, fume hoods and epoxy resin work surfaces were also provided. Through proper planning, detailed shop drawings and coordination, New England Lab was able to meet the design intent and assist with value engineering in order for the project budget and schedule to be attained.
