The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences renovated their facility at 58 Oxford Street to accommodate new research laboratories for biologically inspired engineering. A hybrid furniture system approach was used to meet current research needs with flexibility for the future. New England Lab accomplished this through Optima Series free-standing benches and Cambridge Series tables with Lexington Series casework at sink stations and on glides for under-counter storage where needed. RFV2 Series fume hoods were supplied to meet the high performance requirements while being able to operate as low as 50 fpm for energy savings. Overhead service carriers provide the plug-and-play connections above the free standing benches and tables for ultimate flexibility. Specialty flammable base and tall storage cabinets were provided near each fume hood. Epoxy resin work surfaces were provided throughout the lab.
