ARCHITECT: Payette
CONTRACTOR: Turner Construction Company
Boston University is committed to their research on Neuroscience and built this new facility to drive collaboration between disciplines that may not have happened if studying in separate spaces. New England Lab provided custom freestanding bench systems with a custom upper raceway that hides electrical and plumbing lines from view. Utilities were fed to a wall mounted service panel. Designer steel suspended and base cabinets have “Ivory Oak” engineered veneer to give the laboratory a unique look. The energy efficient Brightedge™ Series LED lighting with intelligent occupancy sensor is integrated into the upper shelf of the bench systems. Fume hoods with a flush sill as well as stainless steel casework to meet a non-ferrous requirement were also supplied on the project.
