JOB NAME: Old Dominion University | New Chemistry Building

With Old Dominion University’s science and chemistry program already at maximum capacity, they have built a new building on Elkhorn Ave, Norfolk, VA. This state-of-the-art facility can support an increased number of students and enables greater competition against rival institutions. New England Lab was selected to supply rift-cut White Oak casework with charcoal grey epoxy resin work surfaces. Fixed island benches are located within the general chemistry labs, while pre-plumbed and pre-wired freestanding benches are located in areas where flexibility is required. The fume hoods have glass on all sides and allow instructors to have better oversight of processes and experiments conducted in the teaching labs. High-performance fume hoods, cylinder restraints, flammable cabinets, and local exhaust arms provide full functionality to the laboratory spaces.
