ARCHITECT: Payette
CONTRACTOR: Barr & Barr
Williams College is expanding and modernizing its science facilities with the redevelopment of the Bronfman Science Center. This brand new North Building will facilitate the Geoscience, Psychology and Mathematics, and Statistics departments. New England Lab provided painted steel cabinet bodies with rift-cut White Oak fronts and gray epoxy resin work surfaces. For flexibility, freestanding benches and tables were arranged in the center of the laboratory space. Rock storage cabinets with solid wood drawers that double as portable rock trays, fill the paleo, structural geo, mineralogy, and sedimentology teaching labs. Energy-saving Brightedge LED task lights, adjustable wall shelving, and fume hoods complete the space.
